Monica joined the Good Life team in 2015, with 15 years of professional piercing experience. They have dedicated their piercing career to offering a calming and gentle experience in the piercing room, and continuing their education outside of the studio. Kind, quirky, and thorough – Monica is eager to connect with clients and guide them through their next piercing journey.

Monica particularly enjoys the creative process of ear stylings, designing and executing a curated collection of piercings that flow together beautifully. Projects involving multiple piercings, chains, dangles, and large gauge work are among their favorites to perform. They specialize in working with clients who may be a bit more on the nervous side, as well as those looking to feel more themselves in their bodies. Monica believes in the importance of breathwork during the procedure and finds comfort in breathing alongside their clients, turning a potentially stressful moment into a shared experience of transformation.

Monica’s long term commitment to safe piercing led them to significant leadership roles within the piercing industry's foremost standard-setting organization.Their service on the APP’s Membership Committee was crucial in assisting piercing industry professionals in implementing necessary changes within their studios to not only meet but exceed the industry's highest standards. From 2020 to 2022, Monica served as the President and Director for the Association of Professional Piercers. Monica has also been a passionate educator for the APP, sharing their expertise and knowledge with peers across the globe. Monica regularly attends classes and collaborates with leading piercing professionals to refine and advance their skill set.

Though this might make them seem like a super human, Monica is quick to remind everyone they are no more than a mere mortal. Monica lives with two genetic conditions: Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF). You may see them using mobility aids inside and outside of the studio. Monica is a lover of animals, a devoted fan of anime, and always on the lookout for the perfect vegan snack. Monica treasures time spent with their friends and family, and finds rejuvenation and adventure in exploring new places.

Monica works with children ages 10 and up, and performs most other ear, body, and facial piercings, as well as a wide variety of genital piercings.
